Services are also fully customised, focusing on both physical and mental motivation. Clients we spoke to have had great success, with most either reaching their goals or making solid progress.
A downside is their Sunday closure and the early closing on Saturdays, which might be a challenge for those with packed schedules. However, flexible online training can fix this.
Additionally, there are various pre-planned courses available, such as the 6-week fat loss course combining HIIT and cardio, and the marathon training. These are generally cheaper than fully personalised plans.

PT-Health is one of, if not the most welcoming gyms in Leeds. Nearly every client we spoke to highlighted the support from both trainers and fellow clients as extraordinary.
They also tick the result box. We spoke to 10 clients, and each one reported feeling and seeing changes, from better posture to muscle growth.
Their personalised plans aren’t the most affordable though, starting at £194 a month. The good news is that if you don’t see any progress, you’ll get a full refund.
The fee also covers a full initial assessment, which ensures that the programme you follow is tailored to you. Plus, you get 24/7 gym access.
What sets them apart, though, is that their programmes have no extreme sacrifices. That means there’s no need to cut out your favourite foods or commit to daily workouts.
A significant drawback, however, is the lack of online training.

Atif of ATIF Fitness is known for bringing both expertise and a bubbly personality to every session he runs. Clients rave about his motivating words and fun, laid-back vibe.
That said, he’s not one to compromise on results. We give his portfolio high marks, as numerous interviewees mention how they’ve hit the goals they set.
It’s no surprise, really, considering his comprehensive approach, which includes personalised workout programmes and nutritional plans. These can feature fat-burning 45-minute sessions, HIIT boot camp workouts, and even post-workout nutrition advice.
One thing to consider is that Atif can get fully booked, as he handles almost everything himself and is in high demand. Another snag is the Sunday closure.
The silver lining is that he offers flexible coaching once you secure a spot, whether in the gym or at home. Regular online check-ins are also included.

One feature we really appreciate is the complimentary consultation. It gives a clear breakdown of your programme, from physical exercises to nutrition, so you’re fully prepared before starting.
They don’t stop there. Meal ideas and recommendations are also provided to keep your nutrition on track.
Motive8 doesn’t rush things either. Before you begin, they’ll perform simple screenings to assess which areas need improvement and evaluate your movement. This helps with targeted progress and injury prevention.
Extra offerings like sports massage, bridal training, and online programmes are also available for those who want to broaden their options.
Like most places though, they’re closed on Sundays. If you’re looking for a weekend or 24/7 availability, there are other names here that provide such a perk.
Additionally, a few interviewees complained about Motive8’s induction process, saying it’s complicated and hard to get into.

When it comes to having a personal trainer that feels very “personal,” Contract Relax Fitness with their trainer named Soph is one of the best options that we found!
Before everything else, the first thing we viewed was their website just to see what exactly they offer. We were surprised to see the various packages available suitable for everyone’s goals!
We went for their 1-2-1 package which included weekly sessions, nutritional guidance, home workouts, 24/7 support, and more! They also have easy-to-follow routines which are perfect, especially for beginners.
If you feel like you can’t follow a specific exercise, Soph, with her patience, can suggest substitutes for those routines. And speaking of the trainer, having sessions with her feels very personal because of how professional she is and how she instills discipline.
Additionally, she gives advice on nutrition! Apart from the already-given guidance, she gives out tips that just add to the experience—what to eat, what to avoid, or what habits to let go of to contribute to building yourself.
If you’re someone from far away, though, Contract Relax Fitness also provides online coaching! We found this very convenient for people who work overtime. Additionally, it just shows how passionate Soph is in what she does!
The only downside, though, is that they can only be contacted through Google Forms, their social media pages, or Soph’s email. A phone number is absent from their website, so it takes a few more steps before you get to speak with the trainer.

If experience is your biggest criteria when looking for a personal trainer in Leeds, Rob from Sotrainme might be the best in the city simply because of his over 20 years of experience!
What turned our heads was the free consultation—the process of getting to know each other was smooth, and Rob went with very specific questions to understand our schedule, physical capabilities, and, of course, our end goal.
Additionally, he offers online training and focuses on mindset more than the physical effort. It’s because he also believes that everything starts with commitment, discipline, and the overall mindset.
And we haven’t even mentioned their freebies yet! Hear us out, they have free: nutritional planning, monitoring, tips, fitness programs between sessions, and fitness and body composition testing. If that isn’t value for money, we don’t know what is!
The existing packages range from a single session, to blocks of 4, 8, and 12 sessions! However, you have the option to train in pairs or groups, or train with a friend for a small additional cost! Think of it like a package, but it’s customizable. Convenient, right?
Also, Rob is versatile with venues. Either in the studio, your home, or online, you’re guaranteed quality training from a professional. This means you can’t expect prices to be cheap, given his expertise and efforts!
And we appreciate their versatility and flexibility, but we also hope they have specific business hours posted on their website or pages.
I’d recommend his training to anyone
I’ve been training with Rob for a few years and he’s great. He has loads of experience so can adapt programmes to help me achieve my goals and work around my circumstances. I’ve had times where I’ve been really fit and others where I’ve had serious illness and whatever the situation he’s given me sessions that are interesting, fun and tailored to my level.
