Cut everything except corners with the best laser-cutting services in Leeds!
Being raised in a family that ran a furniture business, I saw firsthand how hiring a quality laser-cutting service could make or break sales. Products fly off the shelves if you get it right, but if you get it wrong? Well, let’s just say you’ll be dusting off stuff for years.
It’s not just furniture shops that benefit from them. Industries like fashion, architecture, tech, and automotive also require bang-on engraving and slicing.
The thing is it’s not cheap. That’s why you’ll want to stick with the best laser-cutting pros unless you want to gamble your hard-earned pounds.
Good thing we’ve simplified the search for you. We’ve sliced through the lot to bring you the most ‘cutting-edge’ of the bunch.
How much do laser-cutting services cost in the UK?
The cost of laser cutting services in the UK typically starts at £1 per minute, so you’ll likely shell out £30 for 30 minutes and £60 for 60 minutes of both production and engraving.
However, the price can go up to £150 per hour, particularly if the project is complex or the required materials are expensive.
1. Bradford Laser Cutting Ltd

Address: Undercliffe Rd, Bradford
Contact Details: 01274 200112
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 8 am to 6 pm
- Fri – 8 am to 2 pm
Experience is a major reason Bradford Laser Cutting cracked a spot here. They’ve been around since 2004, and their reputation has remained consistently good.
One contributing factor is their Bystronic and Kimla cutting machines. These tools are quite reliable and known for their versatility (they can handle most materials), precision, and efficiency. See their portfolio for proof.
We don’t have concerns about their prices, either, as the fees align with the UK’s standard rates.
However, Bradford’s workload heavily impacts their lead times. That means speedy turnaround time (around 2–7 business days) isn’t always a guarantee.
The weekend closure and early Friday closing are also drawbacks, particularly for folks who are only free during those days.
Other than that, they’re solid service-wise. Powder-coating, polishing, and other finishing services are provided alongside secondary offerings like deburring and drilling.
They also get points for having nationwide coverage.
Work Was Carried Out Quickly
‘It’s great to find a local company that can carry out a variety of metal work designs; in our case we wanted a series of laser cut Corten name-plates for people who have contributed to the restoration of Ilkley Fountain. The quote was good, the work was carried out quickly and efficiently, and delivered to site…and it looks perfect!’

They will work with you to make sure the job is done right, and contact you straight away if there are any queries on the jobs.
Would highly recommend!’

2. Leeds Engraving Centre

Address: 107 Gipton Approach
Contact Details: 0113 228 3982
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 8 am to 6 pm
- Sat – 9 am to 1:30 pm
Leeds Engraving Centre ticks the ‘reasonably priced’ box. Costs here are in line with the UK’s typical prices.
However, their modern-meets-traditional approach is the feature that really caught our attention. Aside from laser cutting, they employ hand-engraving techniques, meaning they can work on intricate, small materials (like glass) and large-scale, commercial projects.
Customisation is also included in their services, which is great for those who want to laser cut or engrave keepsakes. This includes wedding rings, bracelets, and other jewellery.
Additionally, customers like their plaques, signages, and number plates for their eye-catching designs and durability.
That said, clients have reported dealing with rude staff members and emails. The shop also closes on Sundays.
As for turnaround time, they usually don’t miss. For instance, we once requested them to engrave a trophy, and the wait time was just about 30 minutes.
Lastly, they can cut or engrave glass, wood, leather, and acrylics.
Super Service at an Affordable Cost
‘I needed an engraved gift at short notice. Called on site, handed over my proof, chose a gift. A proof with print style was emailed within 2 hours, approved, returned and the whole process complete in the day. Super service at an affordable cost.’

Beautiful and Simple
‘I asked for a memorial plaque in memory of my brother. Not really knowing what I wanted the Leeds Engraving Centre engraved my words and made the plaque look better than I could gave imagined it. It was beautiful and simple. The price was reasonable and I was able to collect it the following day. Very professional service and people, thank you’

3. PC Fabrications

Address: Unit 24 Brown Ave, Gelderd Rd, Holbeck
Contact Details: 0113 241 0007
Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 7:30 am to 3:45 pm
Founded in 2011, PC Fabrications is among this list’s most seasoned companies, but their tech didn’t stay in the past.
They use Kimla Fibre Laser, which is precise, clean, and consistent, unlike traditional laser cutting machines. If you’re eco-conscious, its lower energy consumption and reduced material waste are good news, too.
Having Kimla also means that PC Fabrications is versatile. They can cut most materials, such as 0.5 mm–20 mm steel and aluminium of up to 12 mm.
In addition, the machine allows them to accommodate both bespoke and large-scale orders.
They regularly work with Zintec and galvanised steel, a perk for engineers and those in the manufacturing sectors.
Like previous entries, though, they’re not open during weekends. Moreover, they shut earlier than most shops.
However, their lead times are frequently on schedule, mostly around 2–5 days. Delivery and free quotes are part of the deal, too.
Kept Me Updated
‘Absolutely fantastic service, I dealt with Ryan Shaw and from initial contact to completion of my order Ryan was brilliant. Ryan was incredibly helpful with every part of the process, very clear communication and kept me updated of options and progress. I will definitely be sending them more work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Ryan, top class!’

4. Signs&keys Ltd

Address: 143 Tong Rd, Armley
Contact Details: 0113 808 9213
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 9 am to 5 pm
- Sat – 9 am to 2 pm
When it comes to office or home engravings, Signs&keys Ltd is a dependable option. They have over 40 years of experience, can cut over 10 materials (acrylic, stone, leather, and more), and typically don’t go beyond the 1-week turnaround time.
Most of their processes are also done online and over the phone. That means you don’t have to carry signage back home and can order almost any time.
However, one concern is their website. It’s down as of writing, so your best move is to call. On the upside, they have friendly and proactive customer service.
Another serious hurdle, though, is their limited scope. Signs&keys is huge on signage, but they’re not as versatile as the other names here, which are proficient in larger projects and cover more materials.
There are no significant problems with their quality, though. Most clients raved about getting aesthetically pleasing and durable signboards or placards.
Results Looked Very Nice
‘When arrived the quality of the packaging was very good. To say it is constructed by man and not a machine surprised me. Can’t complain at all. I wanted a sign on top of my garage to show the address and the results looked very nice. Good business will definitely buy more in the future. Highly recommend Signs&Keys.’

Service is Exceptional
‘Excellent sign shop. I’ve been a month ago and I bought a couple of Wi-Fi signs for my shop. The shop looks nice, well located and the service is exceptional! Theses plaques were really easy to fit up.’

5. Duke Makes

Address: Unit 2, Sovereign House, Butterley St
Contact Details: 0113 873 0208
Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 9:30 am to 5 pm
Duke Makes’ versatility makes them a favourite among DIYers, artists, architects, and engineers. They owe most of it to their adaptable laser cutting services, which can handle small, customised, and high-volume projects.
Furthermore, they do more than just simple cutting. For example, kiss-cutting services are available, ideal for imprinting intricate designs on thinner materials or products—think vinyl or stickers.
Coated metal, glass, slate, and wood etching are also on the table, often the choice of artists or businesses after detailed results. This is a terrific alternative to printing, as etching lasts way longer.
The catch is most of their projects take about 2 weeks to complete, and it can extend during peak periods. With no weekend operations, this issue gets trickier.
The silver lining is you can expedite the project by paying a fast-track fee. Just note that the price will depend on the request’s complexity.
Always a Pleasure to Work with Them
‘We’ve worked with Duke Makes on a few fabrication projects, and they’ve been fantastic every time. Prompt, friendly, and always up for a creative challenge, they’ve helped us upgrade some of our studio tools – including transforming a makeshift volumeter into a much sturdier, more safer piece of kit.
They’re ambitious in their outlook, with exciting plans to produce large-scale wiki houses, and it’s inspiring to see their contribution to making South Bank, Leeds, such a vibrant and creative community. It’s always a pleasure to work with them, and we’re lucky to have them as part of our local network.’
– Rebecca Catterall, Google Review
The Team Was Really Friendly
‘We had an amazing company away day at Duke Makes. The team was really friendly, and welcoming to the space. It was so unique to build a stool, and it makes a great take away at the end of the day. Our whole group had a great day, and are looking forward to attending future events.’
