Thankfully, after research, I hired a pro who made our memories look as amazing as tying the knot felt.

Wedding photographers in Leeds usually charge between £1,300 and £1,500 for a full-day package. However, prices can increase significantly during peak seasons like spring and summer, sometimes reaching £3,000.
Some photographers also offer hourly rates instead, with a 4-hour session costing £399 and an 8-hour session priced at up to £799.

The company’s service range is also massive, with packages for all sorts of budgets and requests. From engagement shoots to drone photography, and even album options like acrylic or digital-only collections, they have it.
What really stands out, though, is their ability to capture the most enchanting, raw wedding moments.
On the customer service front, there’s rarely any snag. Rebecca and her team are easy-going and patient, from the first meeting to the wedding day.
One hiccup though is they can get fully booked, especially during the summer and on weekends. Also, most of their packages are fixed, so if you’re after more flexibility, that could be a bit limiting.

Service-wise, they’ll handle pretty much anything, too. This includes family portraits, pre-wedding shots, individual portraits, and even pet photos.
Partnerships with top wedding venues, like Allerton Castle, are another perk. This shows their familiarity with such locations, ensuring they know the best angles and areas to highlight.
On the flip side, they don’t offer drone services, and their availability can be limited.

Made Us Feel So Comfortable and at Ease
‘Peter got recommended to us by a friend and he was brilliant from start to finish. Like all wedding packages we had an engagement shoot, neither my husband and I are the type of people who ’like’ having our photo taken so we were a bit nervous about having a photo shoot. He was fantastic – made us feel so comfortable and at ease and he was great with our daughter and dog who came along too. Their packages, starting at £449, are also flexible enough for any time frame, from 2-hour sessions to full-day marathons. Plus, you’ll get all the high-resolution results on a USB flash drive.
Albums and extras are customisable, too. Simple ones start at £250, but you can level up the enchantment with options like the Italian leather Graphistudio storybook album.
The catch is they close shop on Sundays, unlike most names here. Also, drone services aren’t available as of January 2025.
But overall, Richard Wilson is a terrific option, with clients praising their laid-back style, professionalism, quick responses, and respect for the client’s preferences!

‘Richard did the photos for our wedding and I can’t recommend him enough.
He was super friendly and easygoing, made everyone feel at ease and comfortable. It was a bit of a non conventional wedding and he was so chill, went with the flow of everything and we had such a good laugh with him.

Their wedding films are equally impressive—cinematic without feeling staged, with emphasis on heartfelt, candid moments.
In terms of service range, the company offers traditional and unique offerings. Think pre-wedding shoots, bespoke albums, high-res photos, and audiobooks.

Calling 123 Photography has been in the business since 2001. Their portfolio boasts creative shots, including ones that feature light drawings and dramatic fireworks against pitch-black backdrops.
They also offer unique themes, such as black and white or vintage wedding photography. It’s a retro-ish approach, sans the grainy, outdated effect.
Despite the ‘fixed’ themes, the process is still a team effort, as the clients we talked to mentioned. The team listens to input and offers their own stylistic recommendations, from poses to designs to incorporate into your albums.
It can be a challenge to lock them down, though, since their team is often in demand. Plus, there are no drone services, so don’t expect any aerial shots.
On the plus side, their prices are some of this list’s most budget-friendly, and they do slideshows, which are more affordable than pure videos!

One of our friends tapped Kirsty Mattsson to be their wedding photographer. It was an impulsive hire, but we were impressed by the comments made by some of her previous clients.
Kirsty sports natural wedding photography, creative storytelling, artistic couple portraits, and stress-free wedding photography. She was very communicative too, and when we met her, she was very relaxed and easy-going.
Additionally, she had really great attention to detail! She sees when a strand of hair is in the way or if there’s a piece of string that’s hanging. That particular eye of hers complements her documentary style so well–everything looks so clean and well-done.
What we love most about her work, though, is that every photo seems to capture emotion really well! Plus, she was very enthusiastic on the big day as if she was a guest who just turns out to be very talented in the art of photography.
We have to mention that it’s better to book earlier because her availability is limited because of high demand. After all, she’s that skilled in the art, so you better plan ahead!
After the wedding, she let the couple see sneak peeks of the photos, which they were really happy about. Plus, the turnaround time was only a couple of weeks! For a wedding photographer, that’s really quick, so you better book her for your big day.

Always look forward to our weekly sessions
We chose Kirsty because we liked her documentary style and the way she beautifully captures emotion. We got married on New Years Eve so I wanted someone that could work with low natural light. We had chosen to get married at Holmfirth Vineyard so I was keen for Kirsty to incorporate the landscape in to our photos. Kirsty’s communication from the start was excellent and we loved being able to meet with her in her studio to go through the details of the day. Ben Cumming Photography was a recommendation one of my colleagues gave to another colleague of ours to be the man with the camera for the ceremony, and it paid off!
Ben was very friendly and easygoing, even working with the different personalities during the ceremony which made everyone comfortable. He cracked jokes and had various conversations with guests, which we really appreciated!
During the preshoot, there was an in-depth discussion of preferences and how the wedding would take place so Ben can know his place. We thought that was very professional and considerate of him—just the photographer every couple needs!
Additionally, he takes pictures naturally which makes the entire service stress-free. Plus, he was very energetic too! It’s as if he was actually an invited guest at the wedding.
However, his various styles are what really stand out. He can go for artistic, black & white, colorful, portraits, you name it! This kind of expertise translates to the pricing, though. It’s a bit expensive for the regular couple, but you won’t regret paying the man!
His skills definitely make up for it, and he even organizes the wedding album with his clients. It was a fantastic experience with him as the wedding photographer, and it wasn’t even me who was getting married!
